Christmas Gift Idea

It’s the return of muslin totes!
This time I’ve added my signature felt rosettes onto them for a simple and affordable, yet thoughtful gift for this Christmas! Available in 2 sizes– A5 and A4, they make good companions when you’re doing grocery shopping, out for lunch at work, going for a swim or carrying your laptop around! I personally use mine for all the above and much more hee hee. They’re just so easy and light to use!

A5 totes (short handle)– $9.50
A4 totes (short handle)– $11.00
A3 totes (long handle)– $12.00Β

Another project I’ve been on is also this beautiful clutch I am totally in love with right now! It’s the bag I turn to for weekends, going to church or out for meals with friends. And I’ve already started getting orders for these lovely clutches that just matches everything!

Love the size of it as well, this one above can be stuffed with a smaller than A4 hard-back book that’s about 1.5 inches thick!

Order-taking starts NOOWWWW!

Upsize to Oriental, please?

Have been getting quite a few customization requests recently for Chinese New Year (YAY! HOLIDAY! FOOD! ANG BAO!) And I’ve been happily receiving them! Just love it that I get to come home from work to make accessories. Such a refuge from everything else during the day. Yes it can be alot of work and patience to make just one piece, but I do love it much.

Anyways with all the blog shops going all floral recently, especially since it’s CNY, I thought it would be fun to add some oriental feel to my necklaces πŸ™‚

The one on top is actually an adaptation of the ‘Garden Coral’ necklace from my latest collection. Love it when people request for certain colours to match cos it pushes me to explore other colour combinations which (thank God) turns out real pretty most of the time.

Love how delicate and beautiful they all turned out!

Finally sent out all the necklaces yesterday and am hoping against all odds that my customers get them before the weekend!

Gerard & Rebecca: Celebrate love

Gerard & Rebecca– the 2nd wedding I helped out at this year! Compared to Isaac & Cheryl’sΒ wedding, this wedding was less of a grand/ formal presentation but more rustic, a “Pinterest” wedding, as the bride herself called it! Being in Singapore, what couples normally do would be to sign up for bridal packages with a Bridal boutique or the hotel venue that they were gonna have their wedding at. And these packages normally don’t include doing up the reception area much. And so for Gerard & Rebecca, having some extra help to doll up the reception was really something they wanted for their own. Say, a representation of what message they would like to bring across to their guests.

And to this couple, words were a huge part of how they wanted to bring that spirit across. With the help of their good friend (and my now new friend!)- Esther Ann, we joined our forces to make this dream a reality for our precious couple!

The full bridal party!

Apart from the beautiful showcase that Esther Ann and I did, the gorgeous bride requested for me to custom make a necklace just for her! After sharing back and forth some thoughts on the design and the vision I had for it, here’s the end product:

Love how this necklace is a little larger than life, yet still elegant with the soft whites in different shades (will blog more about the necklace soon!). Rebecca was so happy with the necklace that I was pleased with my job haha! What made me even more happy was that I had friends who recognized my design as the lovely bride walked down the aisle πŸ™‚

I was really satisfied at how everything turned out for this wedding :’) God really pulled everything together for good for this beloved couple. Gerard and Rebecca wanted so much to have their wedding exude an air of celebration of God’s love and faithfulness, and it did. It wasn’t really about them and their union in the end, but about how faithful the Lord had been to them in each of their journeys, and then how the Lord made sure that this journey they were taking together in this new season, starts with a love and laughter-filled beginning.

This is why I love weddings.

To each her own verse

I gave myself a challenge this Christmas! Besides making those cute colourful pen toppers which you might have seen in my earlier post last week, for my best girls who are really close to my heart, buying them something off the rack was just blah, wouldn’t cut it. Which was why I decided that I need to make something for them, to bless them with the my gift that God has blessed me with πŸ™‚

So I got all 7 of them to think of a bible verse which spoke to them recently without telling them what I needed it for. I then started working on the bags, making each one of them a different design according to the verse they provided and mixing it up a bit with their personality. So it’s also about how I saw each bible verse and what it meant to me as well!

And since Christmas is finally over and obviously all 7 of them have received their surprise, I can now share it with you guys!!

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Acts 17:28
for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, β€˜For we are also His offspring.’

Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us..

Genesis 9:7
And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earthΒ and multiply in it.”

Psalm 17:8
Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings..

Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said to them, β€œGo your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, β€œMy grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I was really happy and relieved after I have finished them all, just cos so much time and effort was spent in them. But it was all worth it! I wrote out each bible verse on the brown bags which I then packed them in, and told the girls to find their presents based on the verses. And they loved it πŸ™‚ and I most definetely loved seeing how excited each of them were to see their personalized gifts.

Sigh… I’m so thankful to have been blessed to be a blessing!

The Royal Autumn

My dear friend Jessica was someone who couldn’t make up her mind, being torn between Checkered Olive from Collection ::1::Β and Come Away from Collection ::2::! So… she had me combine the 2 ideas and here it is!

I really love how it turned out! and so did Jessica. It really suits her so well and I just wish I had a picture of her wearing this baby to show you what I mean!!
Anyways, if you do not know yet, customizations are most definetely welcome! Just email me @ and describe away what you’ll like to make for yourself or a special one-of-a-kind creation for a loved one! I’d simply love to be a part of it!

Customised pieces!!

Have been spending some time doing customizations requested by friends! Trying to get the design and colours right in order to match their style and character was not easy. But watching them receive the packages and eagerly unraveling them to see what’s inside was real satisfying! Thank God they were very satisfied with what each of them got! Definetely worth all the time spent through the wee hours of the night the past few days. So just thought that I could share it with you guys.

Pictures are taken with my iPhone 4 and Canon Digi IXUS 120 IS. So please excuse the lesserΒ quality!! πŸ™‚

In the midst of completing the adorable Felt Hairclips for Natalie, a friend’s niece!

And these are the finished products! πŸ™‚ This was really fun to make. And for once, I’m appreciative of my smaller than the norm hands cos these were just so delicate to make.

Now this was a challange set for me by my friend, Grace. She refused to pick anything ready-made off the shelf and wanted me to do something I thought that SHE would wear. And can I say that this suits her to the T! Grace even planned her wardrobe today in a way that she could flaunt this necklace.! And I say, “Flaunt away!”

For those of you darlings who’re wondering how your purchase would be wrapped when they arrive in your hands, I hope this would give you a pretty good idea! Every purchase of Adorninglory’s pieces will be contained in a transparent Zip-lock bag, bubble-wrapped if need be, and placed in cute doley-ed vintage-looking brown paper bags. (Whao that’s a mouthful! But you get the idea!)

For myself, I love it when I purchase stuff online and finally have them arrive with wrapping that’s just so careful put together, making me feel like it’s Christmas/or my birthday! So if you’re getting it for a friend, no need to worry on the wrapping!

But of course if you require a more elaborate gift wrapping, details are available here!
